Wash at 30 degrees or below.

Iron on a low heat (top tip: give it a shake and a smooth before you hang it out to dry, and it will dry wrinkle-free - magic!).

Is bamboo a good performance fabric?

Yes!

The fibre structure absorbs moisture well, wicking it away from your skin and keeping you feeling dry and comfortable. Because the fabric absorbs and traps moisture away from the surrounding air, it limits bacterial growth, keeping it smelling fresher for longer. It is very a breathable fabric, so keeps you cool while active.

This bamboo viscose jersey stretches with you and doesn't restrict your body as it moves and grows. It is also one of the softest things you can wear - perfect next to sensitive skin.

How ethical/eco-friendly is this?

Ethics and sustainability are part of the core values of
Grow Wild. They are part of the decision-making and development of every product. We think that every business should be transparent and accountable, so
that you can make the purchasing decisions that are right for you.

Bamboo is made from natural, renewable raw materials (compared to fossil fuel based synthetics). It uses less water and land to grow the crop, and has a lower carbon footprint than many other fibre alternatives. Turning the bamboo pulp into useable fibre does require a chemical process, however this is true for many other fabric options. We believe that the positives of bamboo outweigh the negatives. Our bamboo jersey has been tested and certified to be free of harmful chemicals by the global OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.

The inherent antibacterial properties mean that the garments require less washing, reducing your laundry time and your energy use and carbon footprint.

Our packaging is also eco-friendly. The polythene garment bags used to protect your clothes are made from renewable, carbon neutral sugar cane, and are recyclable. The postage bags are supplied by a certified B-corporation (committed to doing business for good) and 1% For The Planet member, and are plastic-free, carbon neutral and biodegradable.

Manufacturing in Britain means that we have far better
visibility on our supply chain and the labour practices all the way along it. Clare, the founder, has personally visited each of her manufacture sites.
